Giant Load of "Eh?"
General Summary
The group rested for the day and prepared for the night, for after nightfall, Stodd would begin a ritual that would blend the realms, allowing the heroes to see the undead that have been haunting them since Rauvinwatch Keep. Stodd sat in the middle of the circle of pillars in the middle of Stodd's Henge. Runes upon the pillars began to glow, and a storm rolled in. It began to rain violently, and lighting raced across the sky, thunder cracked, & boomed overhead.
The creatures began to fade into reality, creeping, stalking around the field watching the prey that stood around the rocks in the rain. Their bodies sliding and overlapping, shifting over itself, with the limbs relocating along its body. Suddenly an eye caught a glimpse of someone noticing it, then the other eye rotated its head, and then the head shifted to look at Hugh. It began to creep towards him, crawling along the ground but through the pillar before it. It locked eyes with The Sorloc, intent to finish him. and the other towards Melech. "Take them together!" Hugh bellowed out to the others as the battle began.
It was by the grace of Selune, and through Shadran that the group would survive. being drained of their very being, But Shadran used an ability to keep everyone with a temporay boost to life, that would prevent them from dyeing. Then once the Restless were destroyed, finally put to the restthey desired, the party could be healed of their natural, and unnatural wounds. Stodd ended the ritual and began bantering with the crew about a multitude of things, the area, the threats, the mountains they were heading to. He was quite friendly for a giant, and offered to be as helpful, generous, and gracious as anyone they have met. The group asked questions, and Stodd, answered as best he could. teaching Hugh about runes, particularly the rune of Stone Giants, both Mundane and Arcane, the difference and the meanings.
The group would get a full nights rest and heal some as well as gain some healing from Stodd before going on their way. This was the first new friend the group has made that has no affiliations or reason to help other than the personal interest in helping the Righteous Might.
