Shields Of Yartar

The Shields of Yartar was a group of mounted soldiers that defended the city of Yartar.
The Shields often patroled the roads north towards Everlund and South towards Triboar
In defense of the city, the Shield was often forced to drive off monstrous raiders, such as bands of orcs and groups of trolls.

Base of Operations: The group was headquartered in the Shield Tower located just west of the city proper, across the fortified bridge that spanned the River Surbrin.

By the Year of the Tankard, 1370 DR, the ranks of the Shields had been infiltrated by agents of the Kraken Society.

Organization: The Waterbaron of Yartar served as the Shields' highest-ranking commander. They were served by a number of officers known as Overswords.
