Pock-Marked Po

Pock-Marked Po, the Hideous Prince, earned his name the hard way. An illness he contracted in the jungle as an adventurer in his younger years nearly took Po’s life, ravaging his body. His face is heavily scarred, he is nearly blind in one eye, and he walks with a painful, stooped gait. His hands are gnarled and twisted and has difficulty with fine motor functions. Because of this, he has a small cadre of young, robed Chultan  women that tend to the physical aspects of his dealings: writing, fetching and stowing ledgers, and the like. This is all part of his current setup as, with the backing of The Zhentarim, he styles himself one of the Old City's "beggar princes" who call the shots outside the walls of Port Nyanzaru . After his brush with disease, Po leaves the wilderness to the foolish.

Despite his physical deformities, Po is wickedly cunning and has a sharp, silver tongue. He displays the appropriate professional courtesies in discussion and even when angry, never loses his temper. Though operating freely at the behest of The Zhentarim , Pock-Marked Po uses his broad influence and network of contacts for his own secretive ends. He maintains a hut in the slum of the Old City, which appears disheveled on the outside but is surprisingly opulent within.

Po maintains a network of "watchers" who feed him information on events both within and without the city walls; his currency is information and by that metric he is one of the richest men in Port Nyanzaru . Because of this, the The Zhentarim  place a great deal of faith in him, and he seldom wants for official support.
