Blade of Brocaede

Studying the arcane arts allows any alchemist or hedge witch to brew potions, cobber together a fetish or talisman, and foolishly attempt to summon a being from the ether world. Yet only those connected to the arcana power of our world can properly be called magi. Magi are the ones who can enchant and create permanent foci. Foci being item of arcane power that grant benefits or curses depending upon the spells with which they were imbued.
Such is this blade from the faerie realm of Brocaede. You can tell it is faerie made by their script enscrolled upon the blade. The blade appears to have been made for someone human sized. It is a light blade with regards to it's weight. One might compare it to a spadroon, so says sword master Michaelsen. 
It is fortunate that it came to us, the tower of the white. As we began assensing we noted that the blade is of at least the seventh order of magic. That the effects enchanted upon it are of the transmutation school. The blade has a blue green sheen to it. There are motes of amber that flicker across the surface.  The hilt is of finely wrought star silver and gleams pure and bright.
The three major powers so far detected are:
The blade has an extreme dislike of orcs. It will inflict arcane burns upon them. These burns are extreme and highly likely to cause death. The blade will transform the wounds it inflicts upon others who are not orcs into a living mass of blooming flowers. If one of these wounds is fatal then the entire body of the person slain is transformed into a living mass of flowers. Finally the blade if touched to a tree will cause an extra dimensional dwelling to appear within the tree that can be used as shelter. The size of the shelter determined by the size and type of tree so touched.
Additionally the blade has the minor ability to light up a smallish area with moonlight. 
We estimate the blade to be at least fifteen hundred years old, though it may very well be older. So much arcane knowledge has been lost.
