Lady Spinal

The elven prince to the court's knowledge has been with at least twenty but perhaps as many as forty women in addition to his wife. No one knows the exact number only that if any have given him a child that she and the child are taken into his citadel and provided with all they might desire. The best of food, clothing, art, music and literature. The exception to this are the earth faeries he has lain with. The faeries have their own demesne that the prince has set aside for them.
Why Lady Starfire puts up with this is a mystery. Perhaps it allows her time for her arcane research. Perhaps after six children she wants a rest. She is also a mother to the prince's half-elven children. Their human mothers having long since passed on. In agreement if it can be as such the other ladies of the court with Lady Starfire and her royal highness Princess Alinore whose two children by the prince are the royal heirs, have decided to grant the title of Lady Spinal to one of the prince's lover who never had a child and have her be the one responsible for keeping him entertained at home. Otherwise it is feared that the prince would be waging endless wars for he has never lost a battle.
Why Spinal? A spinal is also known as the false ruby. Since Lady Spinal has the duty of deception and spying upon the prince for both Starfire and Alinore. Often the prince is called the Black Prince for his preference of wearing black, the sole bit of color being the buttons on his doublets. Spinals often being used it was felt appropriate.

Lady Spinal has considerable influence over the prince as one might expect. It is rumored that from the gifts she has received to put in a good word with the prince that she has become one of the wealthiest women in the  elven realm.
