Conjuration
The school of Conjuration in its natural state appears as small, shimmering, cylindrical outcroppings of neon-green coloration that can be found littering regions of extra-planar activity, such as that within Melide's farming moorlands. While deposits can persist on the surface world typically as a byproduct of planar boring, or dangerously close to the inner exclusion zones of World Scars, Conjuration formations do not enjoy lingering for an extended period of time in open spaces. They are the second most unstable school of magic next to Evocation, unable to maintain a solid shape for more than a few nights, dissipating rapidly and radiating the nearby area. Regions with a high concentration of Conjuration are considered cancerous and extremely hazardous to organic life, inciting rampant mutations and growths within an infected individuals body, "clinging" to their innards and causing rogue teleportations that are harmful to the genetic health of any person. Fortunately as stated previously, Conjuration does not stay around for long, and will settle to the earth and be rendered inert; it does not disappear however, as the consolidation of Conjuration has a propensity of creating pocket dimensions that serve as "sinkholes" for the dormant particulate. Within this cavity in reality, the particulate will once again reform into a solid state and will continue to grow and thrive, the alternative physics of their new home forcing reverse catalysis. Sometimes these tears in the realm will collapse, sealing the formation within, but other times the invisible portal will remain open, allowing both particulate to slip inside and join the greater cluster of Conjuration, but also leak out into the world, emitting lethal amounts of particulate in the local vicinity that will only expand as time goes on. Some deposits are "shallow" and incomplete in their planar transference, creating sizable pits of invisible "quick soil" that can easily trap personnel or equipment if they wander too close. Using planar trawlers, one may "dig" out the concealed formations and extract their roots to be transported and refined. Alternatively, Melide has devised their farming techniques to utilize Conjuration fields as a sort of fertilizer for their conjured crops and minerals they wish to grow, only to harvest their yield and the fields when Evening nears, cashing in both simultaneously. When storing and refining, it would be best to separate large quantities of Conjuration, as they have a habit of sinking back into their pocket dimensions if their cluster is large and potent enough, which could bring nearby personnel and equipment with it. Like most schools, compressed and purified Conjuration is considered weaponized at Grade 1, industrial at Grade 2, and commercial at Grade 3.
In Meridian technology, Conjuration is typically employed in logistics and transport, elemental manipulation, and of course food conjuration. Most commonly used in teleporter applications, such as that with planar boring, expanded personnel and material transport and storage, and dimensional drilling and portaling, allowing the creation of remote entrances and exists of all specialties, thus permitting the near-immediate transference of objects. Secondly, Conjuration is a popular augment in elemental distillation, able to control, summon, and unsummon the elements temporarily to allow for precise manipulation and bonding. Lastly, Conjuration can be altered to mimic the nutritional qualities of Old World morsels, able to replicate massive amounts of "false" food for consumption.
