Dr. Harrowitz
First Lead Inventor of Great House Autonon's Engineering Parliament Maxwell Harrowitz (a.k.a. Doctor)
Doctor Maxwell Harrowitz is the Lead Inventor presiding over Great House Autonon's dissimilar administration, serving as their functional Chief Edictorial with responsibilities as both the figure-head and political executor of the Evocation House's Engineering Parliament. His accomplishments attained through sheer merit, Harrowitz's prestige and innovative pursuits would have him labeled as one of the era's few genius savants, disproving and rewriting many founding thaumatic principles and supposedly constant equations to allow the existence of such technologies like the Soul Lure, Heavy Recycler, and Indentured Calamity Directives (ICD) ; all of which are considered marvels of society, designed and drafted by Dr. Harrowitz.
His silver tongue propelled him to the top of Autonon's greatest, boasting tact and cunning uncharacteristic of the stereotypical engineer and Alchemist within the Evocation Houses. As the Lead Inventor, he set down his foot and drew a line in the sand, blatantly disregarding the restrictions placed upon Autonon that he claims were "unlawfully elected, driven by jealousy". Because of his shrewd management, Great House Autonon had decreased its 45 million platinum deficit down to a mere 10 million, aggressively expanding the industrial powerhouse of Autonon and incorporating several House Majorii under his wing as subsidiary independents to augment the Harrowitz machine. His success and inspiring speeches rallied the divided Evocation Houses, directly targeting the other oppressive Great Houses for their crimes against the Meridian and the noble Autonon. Unfortunately, Great House Orax now openly contests Great House Autonon's over-expansion as a threat determined to undermine the Meridian; many other Great Houses, intimidated by Evocation's staggering comeback side with the Mob of Orax. Honorable conflict was declared by Dr. Harrowitz as of late R.301 against Great House Orax, wishing to put down the arrogant bullies that only sought to hinder the glories of Autonon. This non-lethal competition escalated into full-out war during Operation "Twilight Sun", the political ramifications of the bloodbath currently unknown. The famed Dr. Harrowitz did not begin his life in the spotlight, boasting humble beginnings as a rebel that disregarded the "system" and its tendency to promote the status quo. After having hundreds of his inventions and research papers turned down for funding time and time again, he started his adult life as a mercenary Adventurer in pursuit of his own fortune to support his ambitious pursuits. The exact chronicles of his endeavors were detailed in a self-published Autobiography written by Dr. Harrowitz and edited by the Sintasian author Baln titled "Advice from a Scholar". In his book, he describes himself as a "hobbyist hunter, esteemed inventor, and aspiring scholar discounted by society", freely offering his life experiences and brilliant anecdotes during his sixteen years in his home that was the deadly Wastes.
At the end of his hazardous career as an adventurer, he invented the Soul Lure and five practical proofs of concept: five Warforged imbued with the living consciousness of another being, intertwining technology and nature at long last. After having beaten death itself, he retired to finally pursue his engineering dream within Autonon, whom offered him a position of prominence in the Great House. The petty competition was no match for the guile of Harrowitz, quickly rising to Lead the Engineering Parliament as its first Inventor after creating and drafting hundreds of useful technologies and mechanisms exclusive to Autonon, now possessing the necessary funding to lock himself in a dark dungeon for weeks on end to finally fulfill his life-long dream. He became quite a popular figure for his approachable and agreeable personality, but also his wit and intellect that was second to none, making headlines rotation after rotation for his published contributions to the Meridian of Stars' Eternal. Despite his alias as "Doctor", Harrowitz has never received a formal education, publicly stating that it is a gimmick of the dishonest Great House Thirteen.
