Informed Consent^® is a brand name crystal enchant made with enchantment and necromancy magic. When consumed, the users become more easily swayed and are left with a general lack of awareness and overall intelligence. Users also report no memories of events that transpired after taking Informed Consent^®. Once banned even in Sintasia, the crystal enchant has seen a resurgence in use among criminals and businesses once the ban was lifted.

Informed Consent^® acts on the user's brain in two different ways:

1. Enchantment magic acts on the user's frontal lobe, inhibiting the user's ability to make autonomous decisions, generally lowers intellect, and decreases situational awareness. The user goes along with what a third-party tells them to do, albeit not exactly as that third party intends.
2. Necromantic magic rots the memory center of the brain, causing anterograde amnesia (unable to form new memories while high). Also contributes to the lowering of the user's intelligence.

History & Usage

Everyday use

Informed Consent^® is mainly used for criminal purposes. The crystal is ground into a fine powder and blown into the face of a potential victim, making the victim generally more compliant with the assailants demands.

Industrial Use

Starting in the 252nd rotation, Informed Consent^® has seen its biggest use in various businesses in Sintasia as a means to "drive sales". Businesses grind the crystal into a fine powder and blow it on patrons as they enter the establishment, a practice known as "Crop Dusting". This practice has garnered significant criticism from other sintasian businesses, claiming the practice reflects badly on everyone and that it requires other businesses to buy the crystal in order to compete. In response to the criticism, Chairman of the Sintasian Consumer Protection Bureau Azazel has responded, "If you believe it is unfair, you shouldn't be in business. Make a better business, not whine that it's just not fair". In response to this many businesses advertise that they "Do not provide Informed Consent^® to our patrons".
