Amaryllis
The City in a Bubble
"Thank to the help of my guide transformation magic and my impecable acting skills, I managed to disguise myself as a Beastcia and entered the infamous capital city myself. It was almost overwhelming, was I the first elf to ever see the inside? The shimmering magical barrior felt even more gangrenous from inside, yet it felt so oppressive."

Defences
The most well-known piece of architecture is the city barrier. Lining the entire city are over 200 magic beacons that together cast a massive force field dome over the city, making it impossible for people to enter normally.
In order to enter Amaryllis, you must enter through a tunnel system that runs underneath the field. These tunnels mean you have to go through guarded security gates to get in.
History
The city of Amaryllis is one of the Beastcia's oldest settlements as is sacred to them, as the land is believed to belong to the Beast Gods they worship. It has always been a heavily protected city with a high criteria for entry. Only the most respected and wealthy citizens of the city have been able to live in the town.
When foreigners from other nations started tresspassing on their land, the beastcia began to grow paranoid of an invasion on the Amaryllis, so they built the the a great magical barrier in order to defend the city. However, long after the war, it was heavily debated if the barrier should be retired. However the Chief Shaman at the time insisted that the outside world was no longer safe and kept it up.
Over the years, discussions have come up many times over the barrier, but almost every time, the idea of taking it down was shot down. The outside world being dangerous had ended up becoming something ingrained in the minds of the citizens, making the unwarranted fear part of public opinion.
Architecture
The city is full of layered, 'apartment' like homes and buildings. The architecture resembles artificial trees full small homes, with stairs or ladders leading up to different houses. Even the the city hall resembles a bunch of white blocks stacked on top of each other, haphazardly.
Because of the set up of their houses, people live in groups with 3-4 families being able to accommodate one structure.
Geography
The city lies in a clearing in the middle of the rain forest. This particular area is known for having large flower fields, particularly amaryllis flowers which gives the area it's name.
