The Falle Anor Portal Disaster

The portal ritual on the Mage's Tower of Falle Anor is sabotaged, resulting in the destruction of the city.

Concerns among mages began to rise that a large imbalance of mana between Fantasme and New Earth which threatened to cause cataclysmic destruction in the future.   A young, newer member of the of the Mage Council, Vahit, offered a solution, which involved opening up a portal to New Earth to release a massive amount of mana to flow between the dimensions. He cited a ritual that took place several hundred years ago to hide one of the Goddess Blade, and reworked it to function on a greater scale.   Initially the idea was rejected, but was approved when the idea of invading New Earth for resources was brought up. Upset with this preposition, Vahit refused to hand over his research, yet it was stolen and used anyway, forcing Vahit to sabotage the ritual, by running through the portal early before it had been stabilized.   The failed ritual resulted in the unstable portal wreaking havoc on the capitol city. The entire area was blasted with such intense magic, killing all it's inhabitants like an atomic bomb.
