Simple Thicket

In Ludum, in every wood, forest, or hedge, there's an entrance to Simple Thicket. Simple thicket is the fastest, albeit, one of the more dangerous ways to quickly get around Ludum without magic. It's populated mostly by fairies and fey, who will charge favours to guide most folks through unharmed.
The Thicket itself is in a constant start of change, it's a large grove where the sun can't get through the dense tree tops towering above. The season inside it rarely matches what's outside. Its foliage is ancient, many of its plants are impossible to find elsewhere or went extinct long ago. Some say there are flowers in the Thicket that are yet to be created but show up there nevertheless. The magic in Simple Thicket is older than Ludum itself and potent enough that its mark is left on anything that's within it for even a few moments. It's home to The Grand Fey Court and is run by the Fey Queen themself.
Those who live inside the Thicket have long been influenced by its magic and hold strange customs and each great power, so it's well known to go in prepared, staying humble and being polite. Many great quests have been given as gifts here, and many powerful items have passed through The Court.
