Lorétius is run by Monarchy - the 'King Eta's and 'Queen Ita's, Eta/Ita meaning 'Lord/Lady of All' in Ancient Lorétian. An advisory board, the High Council, work with the Monarch.

Defences

Entrance to the city is via only 3 caves, and the city remains underground. This makes it easy to survey those going in and out of the city and hard for spies to map out the city. The Cave-Dragons are a deterrent bigger than their actual strength.

Industry & Trade

Main income to the city is through mining. Has strong trade-routes with Ferestur and recent ones with Ritheria.

As are a city that exists underground, have discovered mineable areas close to the city. Is illegal to mine inside the city for fear of destabilising it.

Geography

Entrance to the city can be found via 3 caves - Etha (Lord of Stone) and Itha (Lady of Stone) to the east and Rothos (Child's Rock) to the south-west. Descent into the city is steep but well-maintained. Parts of the city are held in place whilst the centre is a natural lake, almost a perfect circle with a diameter of 3/4 km. Parts of the city have been adapted to float on the water.
