Drunians (Dru'ne-an)
The Drunians are a humanoid race that through venichanneling of Dragon Blood and Nature magic were imbued with long lives and magical abilities that the humanoid races lack. Their champions and leaders are those strong enough to be imbued with more dragon blood and nature magic.
The Drunians have thrived with the advantage of dragon strength and durability. Drunians see themselves as the keepers of the world, superior to all other species and races; but morally obliged to protect them, even from themselves.
The Drunians, sometimes referred to as the 'dragon blooded people', live in a highly structured and hierarchal civilization with complex laws and rules. They typically seek out strong, strong leadership to rule and protect. Once they take on a ruler, they rarely give up power, and only the most powerful rulers are accepted by the Drunian empire.
Whether this is the influence of their tyrannical monarchs or not, Drunians are generally extremely competent and well educated. Every Drunian is an aristocrat and their culture tends to have more of a matriarchal nature. As a result, they have not been known for their numbers of militaries. But in times of war, they tend to send in their strongest troops, namely female elite troops called 'Serpens'.
They also have the most powerful magical weaponry, including magical armor, magical swords, magical siege weapons, and magic as a weapon itself. The Drunian empire has ruled over Farcelium for over a thousand years.
