(Campaign1) Farrah Dragons

The first campaign in Farrah. Set in 174 AQ, played by The Will Hunters (PC Group).   The Will Hunters were hired by the Gith. They met with the last descendent of Aos the Founder, the founder of the Gith civilisation. The descendants of Aos had been using the Crystal of Will (AKA the Crystal of Aos) and their own lifeforce to power the cities of the Gith. The Gith tell the Will Hunters that 193 years ago a human thief named Autolycus stole the crystal.   The Gith had recently learned that the thief may still be alive despite his incredible age. The task required non-Gith races to retrieve the Crystal of Will as it was located in Farrah and Gith were killed there on sight. The Will Hunters agreed to a price to return the Crystal and set out on their journey. They travelled the north of Farrah, eventually locating the thief, Autolycus, in the town of Ernos. Autolycus, long since retired from adventuring, agreed to give the Crystal of Will to the Will Hunters if they would assist some gnomes in the Equalist movement. The Will Hunters assist in rescuing some gnomes and return to Autolycus. The thief tells them he gave the crystal away years ago to Aeneas the Dragonslayer, and belives it was buried by the Dragonslayer's son, Elemerend, so that it could be used by the Royal Family of Farrah if needed in the future.   The Will Hunters search for an expert on royal history and find a historian, who tells them the story of Aeneas at the first battle of Mount Quarinth putting the dragons to sleep forever. The expert tells the PCs that they will need to kidnap a high ranking government official who will have the key to the dungeon where the crystal of will is held. Unknown to the Will Hunters, the expert is Forticus, a false friend of Aeneas the Dragon Slayer, who betrayed him to his daeth at Mount Quarinth.   The Will Hunters travel to the border of the Fimble Mountains where the Head Clerk Authority is inspecting border defences. The Will Hunters attack the Head Clerk and kidnap him, extracting the key to the dungeon.   The Will Hunters travel to Kimbal, where the Crystal of Will is buried. They enter an ancient dungeon and battle their way through to find the Crystal of Will held in a strange magical device that appears to be funnelling power into the Crystal. When the crystal was removed from the device the earth rumbled. Dragons began to wake from the earth across Farrah and attack. Beneath Mount Quarinth, Unos began to stir.   The Will Hunters took the Crystal of Will to Mount Quarinth, where King Tyche of Farrah was leading an army in a desperate bid to kill Unos and prevent the destruction of his Kingdom. the Will Hunters gave the crystal to Tyche who used it to cast a mighty spell. The spell required the life force of many of Tyche's priests, and a number of the Will Hunters gave their entire life force to Tyche to cast the spell, dying in the process.   Once the spell was cast the Will Hunters turned on Tyche. Now that the world was saved they were looking to make a profit. They hoped to take the crystal back to the Gith and collect the reward. Tyche slew all of them with the power of the crystal, save the halfing Welby the Great, who surrendered to the King and was imprisoned in the dungeons of Kimbol.
