(NPC) Aos the Founder

Aos the Founder (450 BQ - 240 BQ) was a leader, explorer, arcanist, and artificer. Aos lived in early underground Gith settlements, and spent his time exploring caverns and designing magical items and weaponry. When the Gith civilisation were forced underground by Gnomes and Humans, Aos welcomed them and worked to expand the underground cities to have capacity for the whole population. Aos discovered the Crystal of Will in an ancient cavern, guarded by powerful magical defences. Aos took the crystal and used it, along with the power of his own life force, to revolutionise the lands of the Gith. With the Crystal Aos quickly rose to enjoy popularity and, shortly after, reverence. Using the Crystal of Will took a great toll on Aos, who was constantly weakened and sick. He passed away before his time, unable to continue living under the strain of powering the Crystal. He was buried in a tomb in Aosia, the capital city to which he gave his name.
