(NPC) Nathuram Godse

Nathuram Godse (465 AQ - ) is a Farran wizard and experimentalist. Nathuram is the only recorded individual to restore the dead to life.   When Nathuram was young his village was attacked by Gith. His mother, father, two brothers and sister were kidnapped by Githalong with many others from the small town he grew up in. A group of adventurers were hired to rescue the hostages and a bloodbath occurred, resulting in the deaths of Nathuram's family along with many other hostages. Out of this Nathuram got his distaste for adventurers and hatred of Gith. One of the adventurers, a cleric, cast a spell to preserve the bodies of the dead in order to return them to the families. The only member of Nathuram’s family whose body was fully intact was his little sister, who had died from some unseen trauma.   Nathuram became determined to use his powers to bring her back to life. He began working in his secluded house next to the graveyard to restore her, however his experiments went awry and something awful was created. His sister was brought back to semi-life, but her mind was not restored and she was magically preserved and strengthened. Also, the disturbance drew extra-planar attention and the house and surrounds soon came under attack from demons. Nathuram barely escaped with his life, sealing the house with a magical dome to trap the demons and his sister within. He temporarily swore off his work and became a wandering wizard and beggar.   Word of the disaster reached Occam’s ears, who took an interest in the young wizard's works. He contacted Nathuram and suggested a partnership, stating that, together, they could create a device that would be able to restore life properly. They set up a castle/underground base and worked together to try to solve the problem. Nathuram, hearing of Oppenheimer’s genius, travelled to Kristallnacht in order to steal his ideas and possibly use lightning to restore life. Nathuram set up a shop as his cover. He was funded by the Wells Fargo company, which is owned by Occam. While he was there, examining Oppenheimer’s works, armies of Levinas returned with the spoils from the war against the Elves, including the Crystal of Power. When the Zombie outbreak of Kristallnacht began, Nathuram volunteers to help the Baron to examine them and find the cause, as he is interested in the reanimation. He manages to create a cure/vaccine however he does not release it because he wishes to continue studying the event and find the cause. Just before the collapse of order Nathuram determines the cause of the outbreak to be the crystal of power, which he wants to obtain, however he realises that there is some kind of guardian protecting it and it would be very dangerous to go alone. When the Advengerers approach him for the cure he spots his chance to obtain the crystal, sending them to retrieve it for him. Once he has the crystal, he examines it in an effort to determine how it works. The shadow agent-Gith surround his tower and storm it in an attempt to retrieve the crystal, after a short battle Nathuram flees, with the Crystal.   Nathuram begins to experiment with the Crystal. With the crystal he is able to restore his sister to life. Nathuram found a safe hiding spot for his sister. He learned of the Vetala and that it sought the Crystal of Power to restore itself. Nathuram continue to hide separately from his sister, knowing they were hunted by Farrah, the Vetala, Harpers and the Gith. Harper Agent Amelia Lightspring tracked down Nathuram in the north west of Farrah, and while they fought, they were both ambushed and captured by Gith.   As Lightspring and Nathuram were being transported north by the Gith the Advengerers, hired by Eton Gale, attacked and drove off the Gith. They returned the pair to the Harper base at Vanimo. Shortly afterward the Harper base was attacked by the forces of the Vetala, who took the crystal of power. Nathuram escaped and travelled to Quisling. At Quisling he met with the Advengerers again and told them what the Vetala planned.   Nathuram then returned and, with his sister, offered his services of Occam in return for protection from his other enemies. Occam and Nathuram worked productively together for many years until in 511 AQ when the Triple Alliance was forged. Nathuram could not stand working with the Gith and defected from the Farran cause, not before being chastised by the Time Warriors.   Nathuram and his sister remain in hiding to this day.   Campaigns appeared in:
  • Zombie Apocalypse
  • Hunt for the Vetala
  • Live, Die, Repeat
