(NPC) Vincent Garroth

Vincent Garroth (469 AQ - 496 AQ) was a Farran bodyguard, underworld muscle, and adventurer.
Garroth was born and raised in the criminal slums of Mitraz. He grew up surrounded by crime and soon entered the family business. Garroth was blessed with prodigious proportions, and came to the attention of local gangs. He was quickly hired to work as muscle and a bodyguard for local underworld figures.
It was through a connection to the Golden Sons that Garroth was hired by Anthony Darrow. Darrow was gathering a group to go to the Atuk Islands in search of great riches, and had been recommended Garroth by the funder of the expedition. Garroth was brought on board to ensure that no one interfered with the expedition getting to its goal, and was on orders to remove from the equation even other expedition members if they did not cooperate or baulked.
Garroth accepted. The group sailed to the Atuk Islands on The Venture. When the captain of The Venture proved reluctant to remain while the group explored the island Garroth kidnapped his daughter and brought her ashore to keep their ride nearby. Darrow instructed Garroth to wait on the shore with their hostage, Carla Denham, and cartographer Samuel McCarthy. After a night of sleeping on the beach Garroth, determined to get a share of the treasure, ordered McCarthy to watch Denham, and entered the dangerous jungles of Atuk Island.
Garroth was never seen again. He was presumed dead by the surviving members of his expedition and his body was never found.
