New Errondall

The Blackflame Gulch consumed half of the abandoned settlement of Errondall, while the other half was collapsed in the earthquakes. In the following decade, military bases were erected along the length of the Gulch. The ruins of this old outpost formed a decent foundation for such a base. The first bridge across was erected here by the Tolhuis company. Back then, this was essential to increase the chance of getting to Glowtree from the east of the Gulch, albeit an increase from impossible to highly implausible.

After the War of Flames, New Errondall remained the most active military base for monitoring the Blackflame Gulch and defending Concordia from the entities of the depths. In later centuries it did grow as more civilians came to make a living here. The Everlight Guild founded a smaller guild hall in this town to organize expeditions. Most craftsmen here provide their services to Everlight adventurers or to the engineers, pilots, and guardsmen of the Crawlers guild, which specializes in locomotion through the Gulch with their CRAWLers. Most surprisingly, New Errondall gained quite some tourism as well, from either the historical or the thrill-seeking perspectives.

Compared to other towns in Concordia, New Errondall is very recognizable for its defensive structures. There are multiple rings of wall with sturdy gates. All of it is kept operational and in pique condition, even though the city has not faced a major threat in centuries. Many would argue it is even more impregnable than Fullton. This town's most impressive and well-known feature remains of course the great bridge, Tolhuis Errondall, which spans 400ft across the Gulch. This marvellous feat of architecture now also serves as a famous hotel and restaurant, where travellers to and from Glowtree can take a comfortable rest.
