Session 12

General Summary

The Party is hesitant at first, understandably, so Daniel Asks them to complete a couple of tasks as a test. He indicates 2 areas where prisoners are being kept. One at the shore, and one just south of Dhara in the desert. The Party decides to go rescue the slaves at the shore. They are informed that there is at least five prisoners, the cages are set up in such a way that when it is low tide the prisoners stays wet, but when it is high tide the prisoner is forced to tread water for the night. Carl then makes a sort of Firecracker.
They reach the shore at night and find the shore has at least 3 guards patrolling, 2 centaur and one humanoid looking figure.
They decide the best course of action is for Carl to cause a distraction to the west, while Nariyah and Siofra approach from the south-east.
Shenanigans ensue as Carl tries to climb buildings and falling several times, almost getting caught by a separate set of 2 guards. After reaching the top of a building, Carl sees that there are two more guards coming back to the shore from the ocean, he then throws the homemade firecracker...
Meanwhile Siorfra and Nariyah are ducking from cover to cover trying to hide while they get closer to the shoreline, Suddenly Nariyah takes a fall making a hearty thud. The humanoid guard starts moving towards Nariyah's location, The humanoid figure turns out to be a Satyr, Nariyahthrough quick thinking, wildshapes into a spider and skitters out of there.
Upon the firecracker going off, Carl then used the Mask of Fire Breathing before taking off down an alleyway and using it again causing four of the five guards take off after him, Carl then leads them on a merry chase and is able to make 3 humanoid guards fall prone by throwing objects down, he shakes the last guard, a centaur, by climbing up a house and hiding on the edge before the centaur bounds around the corner. He then begins to make his way back to their rendezvous spot.
Meanwhile Nariyah and Siofra stealth their way into the ocean while the other centaur watches her comrades give chase, befiore long they arive at the five cages and begin trying to break the prisoners out. After some trial and error, Siofra figures out she can use her Mask of Acid Breath on the locks and then break them off. Nariyah then desides to help the prisoners swim to a hidden area behind a dune so the guards can't find her, she almost get's caught on her second trip but the prisoner she was carrying picks up a stone from under the water and throws it further away to distract the guard.
Upon open ing the fifth cell Nariyah finds a dead, decomposing body and lets out a sound of shock that alerts the guard who then proceeds to make her way towards them. with some more quick thinking Nariyah transforms into an octopus and pulls Siofra under the water with her to make their escape.
The guard is shocked to find all the prisoners gone and she gallops off to find her comrades as Nariyah and Siofra make it back to the hidden area where the prisoners are.
Carl arrives at the rendezvous spot only to find Nariyah's panther and a centaur guard galloping towards him, he attempts to get out of the way when he is called by the guard, he takes off and gives her the slip..He then attempts to make it back to The Lion's Den.
Nariyah and Siofra and the 4 poisoners are now making their way to The Lions Den when they are noticed by 2 guards and stopped. They try to act like the 4 prisoners are their slaves and one of the guards challenges them by handing them his whip. The Girls are about to fight back when one of the prisoners gives a subtle sign that he will take the hit. Nariyah winds up and whips the prisoner once.
Unimpressed the guard takes back the whip and whips the prisoner himself a couple of times before he lets them go. The prisoners wound are then healed.
The Party and Prisoners arrive back at The Lion's Den to the surprise of Daniel.
The Party then decides to tackle the Desert Prisoners the next day.
Thus Ends Session 12...
