Session 18

General Summary

While battling the Bone Nagas, Talia shows her skill with magic and conjures a spiritual weapon in he form of a sickle with a crescent moon blade. After slaying both Bone Nagas who should show up after meeting in Vattendevin weeks ago? Langnok Maderon! Xavier inquires about the likeness of Talia's Spiritual Weapon.   Talia goes on a lore dump explaining that 700 years ago there were 12, counting Carl Sunguard, commanders in the Alliance of the Mighty which commanded their own Chapter of Soldiers that protected each region of Fartharia. The only Chapter remaining being the Zongarda that Derik Sunguard now leads. Each commander also had a special weapon they wielded.   With Solgalael in hand that makes 11 left hidden somewhere in Fartharia.   Carl remembers the possible names and races of each of those members.   Tirsa, Owlin   Anya, Fairy   Lydia, Human   Daiva, Centaur   Varia, Firbolg   Godrick, Duergar   Bronson, Fire Genasi   Bartock, Giff   Iris, Locathah   Willow, Mouse-Folk   Nissa, Gnome   Counting Carl Sunguard that makes one commander per region... right?   They arrive back in the Burning God, introduce Langnok to Daniel and explain what happened. An extatic Daniel suggests they have a final celebration in The Burning God on the night before they embark as it may be the last time they can.   The Party agrees and then goes shopping.   Langnok goes to the "Library" then takes the book to the waterfront and meditate   The rest of the party goes to a shop across the street from the main barracks.   The major thing of note is that Carl discovers a sword that the shopkeeper is selling because nobody can seem to do anything with it. It looks like a powerful blade but no one knows what to do with it.   Carl's grasps it and feels a sensation in the back of his head that feels very similar to what Xavier describes that he feels when holding Solgalael.   He talks the Keeper down to 600 gp from 900 and begins attuning to the Sword.   After an hour The Sword wakes with a start and begins to freak out wondering where Bronson is.   Carl explains that the Sword may have been asleep for 700 years and Bronson may have long since past. The Sword introduces himself as Sutemater. The Sword that Bronson wielded against the Draconic Discourse. He then explains that, like Solgalael, the more he trust Carkl, the more power he may unlock.   The Party retires for the night.   They wake up and fast forward to the night of the celebration. Carl is the life of the party as he splashes alcohol on his face having a drinking contest with Xavier.   Day breaks on the morning of the Ambush.   Roll Constitution saving throws!   Thus Ends Session 18...
