Session 30

General Summary

Trapped behind enemy lines, The Guardians make their way to a dilapidated tower that could serve as a hideout while they get their bearings. When they think they are safe, a figure appears from under the floor. a Radiant Genasi named Alome who offers to help the Guardians escape before they are discovered. They accept and she takes them to the hideout of a Dohwar Artificer named Gareth who serves what remains of The Insurgency. Along the way The Guardians witness first-hand the cruelty of the Warforged under Vortigarr, as they walk by a Warforged Dispensary there is an explosion and rubble flies into the crowd. The Guardians try to help as many as they can. As the remaining civilians are trapped the remaining Warforged assemble a firing squad and start to fire indiscriminately into the crowd. Talia is caught in the hail of bullets' while trying to help. The Guardians are able to save her and they escape into a series of alleyways.
The Guardians convince him to help them which would allow him to escape Vortigarr himself. Gareth takes them to the old Insurgency hideout which is now crawling with Warforged, they make it to the portal room and lob some firebomb potions inside, when they open the door again and are attacked by one of the children of Vortigarr, Newlem.
They kill Newlem and loot the room. They suddenly hear a knock at the door, as the door bursts open they are met with the visage of Vortigarr and army of Warforged. The Guardians stall just enough to escape through the portal with Gareth in tow.
When they exit Gareth tosses 2 fireball potions and destroys the portal cutting 2 Warforged in half.
They are back in the lab surrounded by Zongarda and Alexander Sunguard who then introduces a new companion for The Guardians, Scarlett.
Thus Ends Session 30...
