Tidal Wave hits Warestone Wharf

Angry Man Yells at The Sea

Felish is fishing at the wharf and having no luck whatsoever. For reasons only known to him, he decides the best course of action is to stand on the pier and shout threats at the water.

As his shouts ring out over the ocean, Felish hears a low rumble. It starts deep beneath his feet, as if it's quaking the very bedrock beneath him. A low bassy rumble builds into a loud, ear-piercing WHOMP that makes Felish's knees weak. The ground begins to shake beneath him, the wooden slats of the pier creaking and groaning...

Warestone Wharf

The pier cracks in two underneath him, and the horizon seems to shift as a massive, unnatural wave builds up and comes crashing towards him. He immediately reacts by running as far away as he can, as quickly as he can.
As he does so, Masa exits Worm Whisperer Bait & Tackle, just in time to also witness the wave come crashing in. He runs after Felish but is caught in the tide, falling down on to the pier. He tries to cling on to a post but is dragged away by the water, and drops out of view.
Meanwhile, Kilon and Malkazon are getting to know one another on a tour of the city. They walk outside the Teal Sanctuary, and both immediately catch sight of the wave as it comes in. Fearing the worst, they run off to get help.

Kilon: She sees the movement out of the corner of her eye, then her ears hear the characteristic growling of the storm wave, or perhaps even a tsunami
She gasps as it shocks her out of her calm reverie."Look! Over there. We have to warn them, we have to tell them to get to high ground"

Teal Sanctuary

Back at the pier, once Masa has been dragged down, it seems almost as though the wave has been satisfied. As quickly as it built up, it dies away, the sea returning to normal, if a little choppy as half of the pier sinks under the surface. Felish runs back to see if he can find Masa, and finds the Leonin clinging on to the broken end of the boardwalk by his teeth.
Whilst he is helping Masa up, Kilon and Malkazon arrive at the wharf and look around to see if anyone else needs help. Malkazon spots something on the horizon - an island, one that wasn't there before.

The island Malkazon and Felish recall seeing was large, much larger than they remember seeing on the horizon before. A large tower extending up at its centre, and an irregular outline, as if it were covered in various sizes of buildings. There is certainly no sign of it anywhere on the horizon any longer.

The damage is assessed, Masa is taken back to the Bait Shop and healed, and as soon as the drama began, everything is calm once again.
