Nuria, the Region that Time Forgot

The Scorched Lands once belonged to a Kingdom known as Nuria, and now lies in smouldering ruins south of Vertiste, The Reizi Plains and Athame. The location has been ruled strictly off limits to any and all regions and large border forces have been created by each Kingdom to ensure the strict rulings are kept to.
Nobody is sure of the exact events that lead to the end of Nuria, as they are locked away deep within the Athame archives. In truth, Nuria was wiped from the map during the end of the 2nd Era, which lead the continent into the 3rd Era. After Nuria was destroyed, messages were sent to the other regions informing them that if the news were to spread they would bring the destruction to those lands too. As far as people are aware, the people that caused the destruction of Nuria have long resided to the Underways.
It has been so long that most don't remember that the Scorched Lands once contained a region brimming with technology. To most, the barren wasteland had always been that way. Those who have lived long enough to remember the past though, they are sworn to secrecy. Whilst there may be a handful of people that know of the fate of the southern region, they are smart enough to know better than to try and spread the information. Though, to some, this is deemed a mistake. For if we do not learn from history, it is doomed to repeat itself...
The Scorched Lands are now a barren wasteland of smouldering ash and graveyards. Though some fauna does live amongst the lands, they have yet to be properly researched due to the ban that has been placed across the region. Those who were there, know the story a little better, however...
