Oltistan
Oltistan is a large, flat, desert region that resides stretched across the northern side of the explored regions, directly dividing them from the Outer Lands. Oltistan is divided by two large rivers, with the majority of their civilisations sitting along the coast and along these rivers. The large expanse of desert in the middle is often filled with ruins of ancient civilisations that once inhabited it. There is little in the way of living flora within the desert but it is certainly rampant with fauna. Oases dot around the region and allow for safe drinking water for travellers and animals alike. Whilst roads have been built to make travel between these places safer, they're not always a comfortable route.
Due to their Titan's influence and their natural charisma and sometimes greed, Oltistan is well known for being the trade centre of the continent. The western cities trade mostly with the Reizi Tribes and Snorjoro, the south with Athame and Vertiste and the east with Nishima and the Viper's Coast. These three separate entities then trade amongst themselves and allow goods from all over the continent to quickly move throughout their region. Each town is often run by a Baron, with the wealthiest and most powerful Barons meeting frequently to form a government.
If you stray too far north, you'll eventually reach the border to the Uncharted Areas. Legends say that there are measures to keep those from the explored areas out, and that seems to ring true, as anyone who has crossed the threshold has yet to return.
