Races of Fearann Ùr

Fearann Ùr is brimming with colourful characters and a variety of races. Whilst Human are the most abundant, there are a huge array of different races that stem from different regions. Each Titan had created their own race within their own image, and these races have stemmed across the entirety of the continent. There are also some races that are not created in the image of any known Titans, that does not mean that they're within the image of undiscovered ones, however.

Human

Humans are the most abundant race across Fearann Ùr. Due to the wide variety of biomes and regions across the continent humans have evolved into a variety of skin colours and slight variations.   According to some theories, humans are not native to Fearann Ùr, and in fact migrated from some far off land, though many disprove this due to the existence of the Beast that Beckons. Regardless of their origins, humans have been around for thousands of years now, and are most of the reason for the variety of regions and Kingdoms that litter the continent. Humans tend to be the ones in power, the majority of the Vertiste Lords, Reizi Plains Chiefs, Viper's Coast Mob Bosses, Oltistan Barons, Nishima Generals and Snorjoro Warlords are all human — though there are exceptions to all rules.   Humans also have a tendency to feel the Titans influence the strongest of other races. Being a rather "blank slate," they are easily swayed by the Titans embrace and often feel the strongest effects and personality shifts compared to other races. This. in turn, also makes them more likely to receive a Titans favour.

Elf

Known as the fairer races, Elves were long theorised to be direct descendants from the Fae. They are an abundant race that have said to be the first native race to live upon Fearann Ùr.   Due to being directly descended from the Fae they have an affinity towards the Deus Crystals that allows them to weave and wield magic more affluently than humans. Their closer connection to the Deus Crystals also leads Elves to being slightly resilient to the Titan's influence.   The Elves long existence upon the continent has given them a large font of knowledge and history regarding the other races and societies.   Some rumours state that there are large Elven societies in the Outer Lands, though those that reside within the explored regions of the Continent refrain from commenting.

Orc

Orcs have been around for a similar length of time as the Elves, though their appearance was a short time after. Legend states that Orcs descended from the early Felfae, and mainly those who did not fully succumb to the corruption. Due to this, Orcs received some minor mutations compared to their Elven brethren, such as darker, ashen skin and a stronger build and frame. However, the corruption has only affected the way they look, and Orcs can have a variety of personalities and intelligence levels just like Elves.   One of the positive effects of the corruption was an increase in strength, whilst still having the ability to use Deus Crystals more effectively than other races, just like Elves.   Similarly to Elves, there are rumours that some of the Orcs fled into the Outer Lands during the event, due to the aversion people had towards the Fae and Felfae, but the ones that remain have refused to comment.

Dwarf

The Dwarves are a rather mysterious race. Whilst some of them choose to live on the surface, the large majority of them descended underground into the Underways during the event. It is said that they originally came from the Underways, which is why they evolved to have a shorter height and a form of acute night vision.   Out of all the races, Dwarves are least affected by Titan's influence, most of them being completely immune to it. However, this causes them to be almost incapable of using magic with Deus Crystals. Of course, they've circumvented this with the invention of the runic script, allowing spells to be cast away from the user.   Most Dwarves are non-religious and do not believe in the Titan's influence of favour due to being near immune to their embrace, though they do not directly deny the existence of the Titan's.

Gobbe

Said to be a sub-race of the Orc, Gobbe's are supposedly slightly more corrupted than their Orcish variant. Though the exact origins of the Gobbe is unknown, this theory is well cemented and accepted.   The Gobbe race are short, not very intelligent and it's somewhat unknown if they are affected by the Titan's embrace. Of course, there are anomalies. Some Gobbes exist that are intelligent, or strong, or even magical. They have longer, floppier ears than Elves and Orcs, and have some amount of night vision. On top of this, they tend to be a little wider. A Gobbe is shorter than a Dwarf by a fair amount, often being around the same size as Human children.   Gobbes are often the lowest tier of class when they live amongst other races, though they aren't exactly against this. Whilst they are often not treated unfairly, they are simply lazy or do not require the skills to climb out of poverty. Most Gobbes can be found within the Swamp Lands of the Viper's Coast, however, and they seem rather content with living in the mud.

Tissqua-Asgaya

Created by the Titan Nvdatlanuwa, the Tissqua-Asgaya are an avian race that are created in its image. They can take form of a variety of different birds, with each one acting as a sub-race of the species. Due to their size, they can not effectively fly with their feathers and limbs, but can sometimes glide for a short while if their body type is suited.   Due to being the creation of Nvdatlanuwa, the race feel its influence the strongest, with a somewhat standard feeling of other Titan's influence. This race can be seen across the entire continent though most of them reside within the Reizi Plains, ensuring that balance is kept across the region.   Apart from their appearance, they are very similar to Humans, having no preference over magic, weaponry or the climates they live in. Because of this, the Tissqua-Asgaya are found across the entire continent, though sub-races may reside in more suitable climates.

Miaouné

The Miaouné race were created by the Titan Terrelionne, however, they were one of the races to receive only a small mutation compared to humans. It was said that Terrelionne had a fondness for humans and thus included them in his vision when creating the Miaouné. Due to this, they only have some minor feline traits.   The Miaouné have feline ears that protrude atop their head, often the same colour as their natural hair and modelled after a variety of different felines. They also have feline-like tails, that match the type of feline their ears are modelled from. These different types of felines are all sub-races, and can vary from the standard housecat to some of the bigger cats.   Due to their feline traits, the Miaouné have a more acute sense of hearing and improved reflexes, as well as feeling a stronger sway from Terrelionne's influence. Their nails also grow into a more claw-like nature that can retract and extend when needed for combat.

Saurokin

The Saurokin are the creation of Felophidian before he fell to corruption. They take the form of reptilian bipedal creatures that are most often at home within the Swamp Lands of the Viper's Coast. Unlike Terrelionne's vision, Felophidian did not much enjoy the company of Humans and thus created his own race mainly within his vision.   Saurokin sub-races take form in the different reptiles they are modelled from. Some are shaped after snakes and have fangs, some can even be shaped after dinosaurs and grow large, thick skin and bigger claws. Some sub-races are even semi-aquatic and can spend a long time, or a near infinite time under the water.   Like all races modelled from a Titan, the Saurokin are most affected by Felophidian's embrace, which often gives them the stereotype of being untrustworthy. This has caused some minor conflicts across the continent, though most Saurokin try their hardest to avoid it.

Chlachfhir

The originators of this race were said to be carved out of rock by Gobhachreag himself. The Chlachfhir are the most widely differing race to the rest, as they are almost completely made from stone and different ores. It is said rather than harbouring children, specific Chlachfhir learn the craft of "Stone-Birthing" in which they carve a Chlachfhir couple's child directly, bringing it to life with the long lost magic of their Titan.   Due to their stone-like bodies and enhanced with Titan magic, Chlachfhir tend to have increased strength and resilience compared to most other races. However, they tend to be more humble and peace-harbouring, directly contracting the negative effects of Gobhachreag's influence — though there are exceptions.   The situation involving a Chlachfhir's "birth" leads them to be unaffected by a Titan's influence as many suggest that these creatures are merely a form of Automaton rather than an actual living creature, though that is still heavily debated as their children do grow like other living organisms.

Sherudansei

The Sherudansei are the realisation of the Nishiman Titan Kyūjōshōkame. Though the Sherudansei were created long before the Titan reached its final resting place atop the ocean. The race are modelled in the Titan's image and resemble bipedal tortoises. They can live for an exceptional amount of time and sport a large shell upon their back.   Due to their hulking bodies and large shell, the race tend to be a lot slower than others. This makes reproduction a little more difficult, thus making the race a rare sight. On top of this, the Sherudansei are peaceful and tend not to start wars — though some have appeared on the battlefield in the past.   Just like the other Titan Races, the Sherudansei feel Kyūjōshōkame's influence stronger than they do the other Titan's, and as such are known to be both extremely loyal, and wise.

Dracopuer

Created in the image of Sapientiavectem, the Dracopuer are both a personification of her draconic looks and her love for humans, due to their partial features resembling that of humans. The Dracopuer have horns protruding from their head, and scales that cover the entire backside of their body and their limbs, as well as talons and claws at the end of their appendages, and draconic-like tails. Some of the race even sport wings sprouting from their back, though they are mostly for show and cannot carry them in flight.   Where they differ to dragons, however, despite their bipedal nature they also have human-like faces and front torsos, as well as sometimes even having a full head of hair. The Dracopuer are often mistaken for humans that have simply been blessed with some features of a dragon, rather than a differing race all to themselves.   Due to being created in the image of Sapientiavectem, the race are often very sensitive to Magicae, and able to use the Dues Crystals effectively, as well as the entire race being able to effectively use Cascade Crystals regardless of the Titan they are influenced by.   The Dracopuer feel Sapientiavectem's influence the most, like all Titan Races, and most are often drawn to worshipping the Titan wherever they are born. Some even suggest that Sapientiavectem has spoken to them directly.

Skaduseun

Skaduseun are a unique anomaly. Theories suggest that they are birthed from the lost spirits of the Deus Crystals, whether through a large influx of Magicae or due to Doring'Bos Fever. Other theories suggest they are the Felfae, using unknown Magicae to cast their image across planes. The Skaduseun exist within the world for varying amounts of time. Some can live for mere days, others for years. Eventually, once their time is up, they evaporate into the atmosphere.   The race are often mischeavious beings. They often don't completely materialise but can still interact with objects and people. Some Skadusuen can communicate, whilst it seems like others are completely unaware of their surroundings and quite literally see, or walk, through people. They take the form of many other races, which is where the main theory of them being lost souls comes from.   It has been rumoured than the Skaduseun can use Magicae, either by harnesses a Deus Crystal or taking away from their own lifeforce. It is, however, unknown whether the race know just how long they have left. Across many cultures, minor inconviences like items being misplaced or doors being left open are blamed on the Skaduseun.
