Feidalis

Once beautiful, filled with diverse fantasy races and cultures, the surface of the world has become an uninhabitable wasteland after a war between the dragons and the mortals. Even though the dragons were defeated and killed, only very few mortals survived, who used their knowledge in technology as well as magic to create a machine, that could lift their children and their land to safety above the clouds. The city they founded was called Aitheris, the last bulwark of civilisation, perhaps even live, on the scorched realm. For generations, the inhabitants of Aitheris have lived in peace but also forgot about their past, just trying to survive. Now, they have discovered that they were never really alone nor save in their apparent seclusion and have to hurry if they want to save their world.
