Years are reckoned following the Bekian calendar, which is the primary method of reckoning dates in Fels Rayna. According to this calendar, the New Year begins on the Spring Solstice. The Bekian Calendar is descended from the old Turranian Calendar, which has its origin in the solar calendars used during the Age of Suru. These dates may or may not be precisely accurate but they are a matter of tradition that is mostly accepted by the entire world.
