The gods banished themselves to preserve the miracle that is Ferdlan. Even so, the destruction could not be reversed, forever changing the surface inhabited by the Ten Races. After the gods came the demigods, who, wanting to replace the Ten Gods, unknowingly became heralds of their power. Unfortunately, faith has been forever broken, and the peoples of Ferdlan have increasingly begun to look for alternatives in technology and arcane magic.
