Halphas “Strength and Power”

Sir/Master Halphas

The Prince of the House of Ghetsein is the symbol of worldly strength and demonic power. “Through strength, one gains power, and through power, one gains desire. And through desire, the quest for strength will never end. There is no sin in getting stronger, but the path you walk will suffice.”

APPEARANCE

Halphas, in his hibernation form, usually appeared as a small bird-person with a bird beak mask, a tattered black robe with a dark aura, and a lamp for the eye. Carrying a large spoon to dig the earth and hide, setting traps, and avoiding confrontation. Since it can change the form, his appearance isn’t restricted to this form. During the enraged form, his appearance changed drastically from a small creature to a gigantic crow-like monster with two beaks, many red eyes, and two pairs of razor-blade wings with arms. A dark aura constantly glows from his back, and a running saliva flows from his beaks. His non-stop shrieking can tear the eardrum and cause bleeding from the orifices. While in the daemon realm, his true form, the feathers, will envelop his body and become a scale-like armor. At the same time, his size grows enormous, and six pairs of black wings will appear on his back with eight red eyes (another pair of black wings open & close his face) and two beaks (one front, one behind), and blood and gas flow from his beaks and eyes. Sitting on his throne made of thorn vines and marble, Halphas holds his slender blade (katana without curve) while emitting a dark aura. Just seeing its appearance, people will go mad and grow thirsty for power, which he endows with everlasting blood that flows into a pool, like a fountain with him in the center (many Mangled Flesh and tormented souls will gather and drink his blood). Many Shura Disciples gather there to eat the Mangled Flesh or torture/pull the shackled, tormented souls.

SERVANTS

A. Shura Disciples

A crow-like humanoid demon who works directly under Halphas and makes up most of the House members. Once Halphas takes a liking to a lost soul, he puts a feather on that soul. The soul will forcefully turn into Shura Disciples slowly (engulfed the soul with feathers, then turned into an egg). Their work is from becoming a giant pet and housekeeping to military duty.

B. Den’s Caretakers

Tormented souls work to clean the dens for the pet and protect Shura Disciples from harm during their rebirth. Despite being tormented souls, they have powerful strength.

C. Mangled Flesh

Cursed people with a tendency to move only to satisfy their thirst despite only corpses. They don’t do anything other than act hostile to anyone approaching them. Their flesh regenerates endlessly and becomes a staple food for the Shura Disciples.

ABILITY

- Unstoppable Force: With a 50% chance to break the user's body, the user's attacks (physical, magic) are capable of breaking and piercing any enemy. The percentage is halved for every consecutive attack.
- Unmoveable Mountain: With the cost of being unable to move, the user's body becomes impenetrable and impervious to any forces.
- Trembling World: a passive skill owned by all first generation of Terra Council. Each step and movement create shockwaves, which increase accordingly to the amount of movement and force he creates. Even a single weak shockwave can blast a titan.
- Shrieker’s Lullaby: a passive skill, turns any sounds (even the ones unheard able) he creates into a deafening shriek that causes hemorrhage from the eardrums or orifices.
- Absolute Power: by sacrificing anything you possess, one gains the power of “Unstoppable Force” and “Unmoveable Mountain” simultaneously (by removing the break chance and being unable to move restrictions). The power will continue until the user doesn’t have anything to sacrifice. When sacrificing one’s own self, the body will grow feathers, and the anatomy changes into an abomination-like. The sacrifices are randomized but always start with external possession (start with riches or fame, then lives). To be considered as a sacrifice potential, one has to have a sentiment toward the object. While for the demon himself, this power turns into “Limitless Potential”, which increases his strength, magic, and adaptability the longer the fight.
- Origin Weapon: a sheathless clear silver-colored katana-like blade without a curve. The sword has a thin blade edge which capable of slicing anything. The sword emits a dark impulse that protects the owner and burns every soul around it. Each slice is clear-cut, without any sounds or bleeding. With each killing, the sword becomes longer.

CONTRACT

A. Avatar Contract

Its contract depends on the person's problem, usually about war, revenge, weakness, or anything requiring sudden improvement in a situation. The cost for the contract will shorten the offeree's life (damned his/her life to it) or immediately take the offeree's life (as the offeree's life will increase its power).

B. Mini-Vil Contract

Halphas float with a more petite body and big wings. He also has two beaks, a couple of feathers, and four red eyes. In this form, the user is capable of using the “Unstoppable Force” and “Unmoveable Mountain”. The “Shrieker’s Lullaby” becomes an active skill while “Absolute Power” is limited only to a few moments (max 10 seconds for an hour) with blood as the sacrifice (hence the user usually carries flasks with blood). He also increases the strength, magic, and constitution of the user.
