Blood Squash

Blood Squash = A blood red pumpkin. This squash is typical as it grows on the vine. It is a pale green when growing and turns a blood red color in the fall. The meat is the same color as the rind yet the seeds are a white pale green color. The seeds can be dried and eaten and the meat is most often cut up and roasted in either a sweet or a savory fashion.
