The unseen star in the blackest night sky

This semi-secret organization operates several locations of "guilds". The activities run the gambit of criminal activity. Everything from strong arm rackets and pick pocketing to fraud, counterfeit and smuggling all the way up to murder for hire and assassination. The Darkstar assassins are infamous underworld operators. Murder for hire is not the only endeavor they participate in but it is the most well-known. Organized crime, addictive substances, illegal contraband, smuggling and many other operations encompass the syndicate. The Darkstar is somewhat of an urban legend in and around the kingdom of Tower Rock. With a very blurry picture of its leadership even the criminal world does not truly know who is in charge or in power. While this operation began its infamy through highly skilled and efficient assassinations it has branched out into other ventures. Midlevel lieutenants are the most visible of the organization and even that is uncertain.

The organization is made up of "families'" or groups often limited to a city or area of smaller cities and towns. The heads of the families make up a council or so the rumors say.
