Knuckle Mouth Trout – This is a large fresh water fish. A form of trout this deep lake and river fish has a large ivory plate on its head that gives it its name. The bony plate looks something like a closed human fist. The fish is commonly eaten and the ivory is carved into art objects and small tools such as combs and net needles, knife handles and much more.
