Voquuine

Voquuine - A hearty stock animal is the Voquuine, a cross of an ox and a horse larger than a horse but smaller than an ox. It’s a very muscular horse with various styles of horns. While not fast this breed of work animal has strength and stamina to work everything from pulling carts, farm equipment, lumber carts and sturdy war mounts. While not particularly raised for its meat it is common for the poor to consume an older voquuine after its years of service on a farm. Often referred to as stout or petite; Stout voquuine are much larger, muscular and are more often than not the verity with horns. Capable of heavy loads for long distances but slow speeds the stouts are used for work and combat alike. The petites are smaller and leaner more for swift riding and speed. While not large they can travel at higher speeds for longer distances. Both stout and petite grow a shaggy coat during the winter months or in extreme conditions. Those that live in hot climates often grow a short coat often with a metallic sheen. Some breeders even state further distinction of lines as they keep meticulous records. This has led to dynasties from breeder to breeder. One breeder, Gideon Levine has claimed to have bread a long hair with the metallic color coats. Some prefer those with horns and will pay more for them while most prefer petites with a metallic coat.
