Weaselpig

Weasel pig – This variety of critter is developed to assist in gathering foods. Truffles, mushrooms, bird eggs and honey are all the main targets of this animal but it can be trained to sniff for anything really. A mix of a small pig, hound dog and a weasel this smaller animal is one of the most successful trackers but it is prone to poor eyesight. A large olfactory opening similar to a pig tips the snout and floppy ears like a hound dog but pointed like a weasel. The jawline shows mostly features of the weasel. The body is unique but shows features of all three animals, with thick hair in the colors of the weasel but the patterns of the hound dog. The legs are always strong and sturdy like the pig but shaped like a dogs with exaggerated claws and paws from the weasel. The tail is most often loosely curled like the pig but furry like the weasel. Later breeding mix beagle, honey badger and hogs for a slightly larger specimen. Halflings have been known to ride this verity for hunting. Other specific breeds and mixes have become prominent in various areas especially in Tower Rock. Most for tracking, hunting and guard breeds but others as riding mounts and war mounts.
