History

The history of Coral Cliffs is etched with tales of both triumph and tragedy. Once a serene underwater haven, the village faced a dark chapter when the malevolent sea devil Thorgar enticed a portion of its population away, twisting them into malevolent merrow under his influence. Thorgar's relentless attacks followed, seeking to steal the magic artifacts wielded by Neriya Wavecaller, the village's leader, and to transform the remaining merfolk into merrow, permanently shrouding Coral Cliffs in darkness. Amidst this turmoil, hope arrived in the form of a valiant group of traveling adventurers. Led by the merfolk warrior Drogan Deepdiver, these courageous souls were recruited to aid Coral Cliffs in its dire time of need. When one of Neriya's treasured artifacts was stolen, the adventurers fearlessly faced Thorgar and his malevolent forces. In a harrowing battle, they overcame the sea devil's wicked machinations, retrieved the stolen conch shell, and restored the village's powerful defenses. Though the victory came at a heavy price, with the loss of Drogan Deepdiver, his bravery and sacrifice remain forever enshrined in Coral Cliff's folklore. The travelers, too, will forever be celebrated as legendary heroes in the village's memory. Their deeds echo through the underwater corridors, reminding all who dwell in Coral Cliffs of the resilience and courage that brought them peace once more.
