Festian Calendar

The Festian Calendar, a structured and practical system for marking the passage of time, organizes the year into 12 months, each composed of either 30 or 31 days, alternating in a consistent pattern. The months' names evoke the changing seasons and the natural cycles they represent. Additionally, the second month stands apart, consisting of 28 days. The calendar begins with the month of Deepwinter, ushering in the cold and serene season, followed by Wintersend. Seedmoon arrives with the promise of new life and growth, leading to Bloomsmonth, a time of vibrant blossoms and flourishing nature. Deepspring, characterized by rejuvenation and renewal, transitions into the warm embrace of Sunsmoon, where the sun's rays shine with brilliance.   Highsummer brings the height of warmth and activity, with Latesummer following closely behind, heralding the gradual change towards the harvest season. The month of Harvestmoon arrives, dedicated to reaping the fruits of labor, leading into the picturesque Redleaf, where nature's colors begin to transform.   The year enters its final stage with Frostfall, signaling the approach of winter, and finally concluding with Midwinter, the last month of the Festian Calendar.   Within each month, the week unfolds across seven days, each named in honor of celestial entities and elements: Starday, Sunday, Moonday, Godsday, Waterday, Earthday, and Freeday. This consistent weekly rhythm provides structure and regularity to the daily lives of the Festian people, making it a reliable foundation for planning and organization throughout the year.
