The Fifth Sense
The people of the planet Cattigagagatta have four basic senses: touch, taste, smell, and a fouth sense that immerses them in the thoughts of everyone around them. The fourth sense is immediate and involuntary, responsible for culture and conflict, and the conveyance of intelligence and stupidity across thousands of generations.
There is no fifth sense.
