Vaelorin (vA-lor-in)
The Chain Breaker
Vaelorin is the god of Individuality, Liberty, and Retribution.
Vaelorin is revered by those who value personal freedom, autonomy, and the pursuit of justice. Though he is a member of The Children of Marian, the human pantheon, his very nature and tenants cause him to exist on the outer fringes. Instead, he associates more closely with individual gods that share his ideals and is commonly tied to other pantheons' like-minded gods.
Vaelorin is often depicted as a tall, imposing figure with a stern countenance and a powerful build. He wears a golden chainmail shirt with clothes of blue or violet and is armed with three magic weapons: a sword named Vengence; a spear called Justice; and a scepter known as Mercy. He is often accompanied by a white gyrefalcon, a symbol of his sharp vision and swift justice.
As the god of individuality, Vaelorin is said to inspire people to be true to themselves, to embrace their unique talents and perspectives, and to resist any forces that would seek to stifle their creativity or expression. He is revered by artists, innovators, and rebels who challenge the status quo and push boundaries.
As the god of liberty, Vaelorin is a champion of personal and political freedoms, and is said to fight against tyranny, oppression, and injustice in all its forms. He inspires people to stand up for their rights and to fight for the freedom and dignity of others.
Finally, as the god of retribution, Vaelorin is a formidable force against those who seek to harm others or violate their rights. He is revered as a protector of the innocent and a punisher of the guilty, and is said to hold those who would commit crimes or engage in unethical behavior accountable for their actions.

Divine Symbols & Sigils
Rune of Retribution (triskelion)
Vaelorin has an unofficial holy number of three. It is common for worshipers to look for three parts of a path or idea before acting on it. The rune represents the three parts of Retribution: Vengeance, Justice, and Mercy. Only those capable of understanding each aspect and knowing when to doll out the correct one are selected as champions of Vaelorin, acting as his avatars of Retribution. Champions of Vaelorin often need to keep a low profile, but when they do not, they wear this rune on their clothing with pride. It is also commonly incorporated into banners of resistance and other movements centered around gaining freedom.

Tenets of Faith
Vaelorin teaches that everyone deserves life and the right "to choose their own place in the world," and that slavery and tyranny must be opposed and overthrown. The church should train the common folk to defend themselves and their possessions from those wishing to infringe on their freedoms. Those wronged have the right to seek vengeance, especially if no one else will aid them.
Vengeance stems from a love of Justice and a desire to redress wrongs, but revenge is damning. Each of Vaelorin's churches has a different focus, due to the fact that the faith preaches individuality over any standardized doctrine, but every church is allied with its brethren.
