Cardyl

Cardyl is the capital of the Gilded Run, the third largest city in Valia and the main trading port connecting to the Median Republic.

Demographics

The population consists mainly of humans, half-elves, elves and tieflings. It is a blend of Valian and Median culture.

Infrastructure

Cardyl is built in and around a large lagoon at the edge of the Gilded Run. The lagoon is filled with a system of docks, which have over time evolved into a magnificent network of streets and canals.

History

Cardyl was founded in the later days of the Pretoric Empire, after Median refugees, fleeing from the Azimut invasion were given asylum. These refugees worked with the Pretoric royalty to establish a new trading relationship, exemplified in the city of Cardyl.
