Cuship

Cuship is a type of waxy paper made from the wide, fleshy leaves of the cushiper tree.   The paper once pulped, stretched and then dried, retains the waxy nature of the original leaves. This makes the paper ideal for use in wrapping it around baked goods and other foods. Its also used as a cooking surface when baking smaller items like cookies.   In some locations, it is used as layer to wrap and protect items that are water sensitive, since cuship paper is water resistant.
