Solarium battery
The invention of the solarium battery lies at the foundation of much of the societies on Fiven. An ancient technology, it has been refined over the centuries for use in numerous applications such as powering traps, communication devices, or even weaponry.
A solarium battery is a non-conductive metal case surrounding two layers of silvered solarium quartz and a solution of lucerne seed with quarrelwood resin.
It's not clear who invented the technology. Many scholars place the invention sometime during the ancient Torin Republic before it became an empire. There are a handful of scholars that point to archeological evidence that the idea is much older and may even come from the mythical "Forerunners".
