Writ

A writ is an official document or contract authorizing the recipient to conduct bounty hunter, courier, or similar work. Organizations from the Wayfarer League to the Nighthunter Union use writs as legal contracts of work.

Writs are a simple piece. They contain a brief statement of what the work is needed, a location where the work will be done, and any additional items. This can be a map, a holoburn image on parchment of a person or item, or any other information a Nighthunter, Wayfarer Rider, or person performing the job will need to know.

Most regions along the Crystal Bay consider it illegal to forge a writ. But this still happens. So much that there is a rich Shade Market trade in falsified Writs.
