Cloudy Brain
Brain and Sun
Moles have spent hundreds - if not thousands - of years living underground. As such they grew accustomed to living in darkness, without much sunlight. But, when they returned to the surface, they even more quickly got used to the nice warm sun. Five of them actually. Well, actually, not all five of them are nice and warm, but about two or three of them are. Before, moles were able to survive just fine, but now, under the warm sunlight they started absolutely thriving.
In a relatively short period of time, their brains became significantly more solar powered. This, as anything else, may differ heavily from one person to the other. The ones living in T@Ö#Ä3 don’t get much healthy sunlight so they get by just fine without much sunlight, while people of atlds need more sun to be happy and healthy. Butterfly fairies especially need more sunlight, while moth fairies and bat people require less of it. Still, there can be exceptions in all species, and things may go wrong for everyone.
What can go wrong?
With people being so used to the warmth and sunlight, the absence of it may pose a problem for them. This is especially a problem during the rainy seasons, so it’s not a coincidence most people will hibernate during that time and hide away from life and its problems. The more sensitive moles may experience such difficulties at any time during the year, in times of prolonged cloudy or rainy weather. At these times even one’s brain might start feeling a bit cloudy, and we call that condition cloudy brain.
Symptoms
The absence of sunlight can make people feel more mentally unwell in many ways. With the withdrawal of the sun, their brain won’t get enough energy, and will not work at its full potential. They may become more lazy, sad or just emotionally numb, less motivated but also more anxious, uncomfortable and irritable. They may sleep more and eat less, they will lose interest in their hobbies and social interaction even with their closest ones.
While the condition is commonly related to people’s emotions getting more dull, some negative emotions may get even stronger. They can get more sad, angry or more fearful. They will often even seek out to provoke these emotions; after all, even negative emotions are better than feeling no emotions at all.
Cures and treatments
The only real cure to this condition is getting more sunlight, and unfortunately often you have no choice but to wait out the bad weather conditions and wait for the sunny days. But as the cloudy days are bound to end, luckily the condition is temporary as well.
While waiting for better weather, there isn’t much you can do, but there’s many things to try. People can get herbal teas at their local herbal garden that might make them feel a bit better, and they are advised to get some good sleep. Other than that, they are encouraged to do things that make them happy, such as spend time with their loved ones and spending time on their favorite hobbies. That doesn’t always help, but it’s something.
It’s easier to get through the short periods of bad weather, but during the rainy season that lasts a whole month or even more, everyone experiences at least some level of cloudy brain, and at this time the only way is to shut the whole world down for a month.
Prevention
There’s not much you can do to prevent this condition, cloudy days and rainy seasons will come and go, and all you can do is hope for the best. People are well advised to enjoy the sunny days as much as they can, go out and have fun - the happier you are the longer it will take for cloudy brain to really take its toll on you.
