Cold-Bloodedness
Our species of mole people is known to be a hybrid of several ancient species, most notably olm and naked mole rat. Olm is well known to be a cold blooded creature, and naked mole rats were quite strange and peculiar species in their own right. One of these strange and peculiar traits they possessed was that they were cold blooded, quite unlike any other mammal of that era. But, with the main genetic makeup of the mole still being the human one, the cold blooded trait was eliminated - for the most part. With sharing so much of the DNA with these cold blooded species, problems are bound to occur, and cold bloodedness is exactly one of these problems.
What is it?
Cold bloodedness is just what the name says it is. This is a very rare genetic condition that occurs in about 1-3% of people. This %, of course, is the highest in West T@Ö#Å3, where strange conditions like this are more prevalent in general.
The main characteristic of this condition is, obviously, being cold blooded. These people thrive in warm conditions, especially in ridiculously hot summers of East T@Ö#Å3. A lot of them also enjoy Desert and West Å+*4~, while they will have a real problem visiting colder regions of our world. Apart from physical cold bloodedness, these people tend to be noticeably more emotionally cold as well. Don’t expect to become really close BFFs with them, not as quickly as with other people anyway. A lot of them tend to be more violent or even become killers; maybe that’s why they tend to stick to living in T@Ö#Ä3, where that type of thing is more common.
One notable case of a cold bloodedness sufferer is Cold Blooded Killer
Causes
This is a genetic disorder that you’re either born with or not. If you weren’t born with it, then you’re safe; there is no other way to get it. You are more likely to pass it on to your kids if you or your partner have it, but in rare cases it can occur randomly as well.
It can occur in all subspecies of mole people and bat people, though it is more common in mole people. In bat people’s DNA, cold blooded naked mole rat genes are switched out with warm blooded bat genes; but the olm part is still there anyway.
It can occur in fairies, but they’re more likely to become moth fairies. This isn’t really a disease or a disorder, but they’re just a little bit sus.
Treatments, cures and prevention
As far as prevention goes, there isn’t really much you can do. You can only make sure you don’t have children with anyone who suffers from this condition, especially if you have it yourself. Other than that you can only hope for the best. Considering the condition is very rare though, you don’t need to worry yourself too much with it.
When it comes to cures, there isn’t anything you can do either. If you have it, then you’ll have it for the rest of your life.
Your best bet is to try various ways to alleviate your symptoms. First of all, stitch to warmer areas of our world, like West T@Ö#Ä3 , West Ä+*4~ and Desert. Any skiing vacations in Mountain Area are, unfortunately, out of the question. Even in warmer parts, you’ll recognize cold blooded people by wearing unseasonably warm clothes all throughout the year. Being out in the sun is really nice and all, but at night and indoors it can get pretty cold too. Nice warm meals and beverages will help you stay warm in these situations. Though you may not be into all that sappy cuddly emotional stuff, getting a cuddle buddy is recommended as well. A nice cuddle time will warm you up physically, and surely also emotionally. :3.
