Monthly Eggs
Hey, hello, are you a woman? Are you not a woman? Do you get periods? Do you hate them? What if I told you there is another way? What if you lived in a world where there are no periods? Not ever, not for anyone. There is a one really small tiny catch though - in lieu of periods you only lay one single monthly egg.
What’s this? An egg? but doesn’t that sound much worse? Well, I’m sure our scientists would very much enjoy hearing your opinion about 10 thousand years ago when they were only creating this new humanoid species, but here we are. Don’t worry though, surely the egg system has its own benefits too. Surely.

Who?
In our world, not only women, but also fairies (who are all male, if you read their info carefully) lay eggs.
How Often?
As the name suggests, this is a monthly egg. It occurs on a different day for each individual, of course, but it should happen once about every four weeks.
In the case that the egg is hatchable, it will take about 3 month for it to come out. By then it will grow somewhat bigger and will contain a tiny mole and you gotta take special care for it until it’s ready to hatch.
Why?
As you may have figured it out by now, what were periods, pregnancy and childbirth in the old world, got replaced by eggs in the new world. Why eggs specifically? Well as it appeared no one liked periods, pregnancy and childbirth. Especially pregnancy and childbirth sound absolutely horrifying, no matter if you’re a woman, man, human, mole, fairy or anything else. As laying eggs seemed to be the next alternative in the old world, the scientists who created the new species thought “What the hell, let’s try eggs this time”.
What Happens?
If you laid a hatchable egg, then you ought to take good care of it for the next few months until it’s ready to hatch. When it does, congratulations, a new family member has just joined you!
In the case of a regular, non-hatchable monthly egg, the first thing you have to do is make extra sure to not get it mixed up with your regular peacock eggs you would use for food. You can eat it, if you’re a little bit on the insane side, sneakily serve it to someone as a prank if you’re a lot on the insane side, or give it as an offering to gods. Eggs in our culture represent life, growth and prosperity, which are the things you will ensure for yourself and your family by giving this valuable offering to gods.
