World's Most Giant Chess Board

History of War

First thing you have to understand is the War of the Black and Whit King. This war brought nothing but pain, death and devastation to the world that wasn’t even done being rebuilt at that point. All of the progress people have made was undone by the petty war that benefited no one. It was then that people decided they would never attack one another and go into another war. They agreed to live on in peace and harmony.

But still, they wanted to take extra precautions, in case more disagreements would happen in the future. If not between the people of Flat Earth, then maybe with the people of other worlds. Because another war was the last thing they wanted to get into, they had to come up with new, more peaceful and logical ways to settle disagreements. The most obvious solution they came up with was a game of chess. The two opposing sides would play chess to determine who the winner is.

Giant Game of Chess

At first they only planned for a regular game of chess between two people, but soon they started thinking this might not be enough. If another world would attack, they would likely come with a full army, and Flat Earth needed a better defence than a simple game of chess. Naturally, the only logical solution for this was a bigger chess board. The pieces would be big enough so that each piece would be controlled by a different person. That meant 16 people on each side would be needed for the game, and more people have a better chance at outsmarting the enemy army.

When that was settled, only a proper space to set up this giant board would have to be found. Not too close to any towns or settlements so people wouldn’t be in any potential danger in case of war. Luckily, there were vast barren wastelands covering the tgohab side of the world. Surely no one would live anywhere near this area, and so the place for the chess board was chosen.

The Landmark

This giant chess board is located deep in Wasteland of tgohab, far away from City. It’s abou 8m x 8m big, with each tile being 1m x 1m in size. The chess pieces are between 1,5 m and 2,5m tall. The colors of tiles and pieces are traditional black and white, same as the colors of Black King and White King. Both tiles and pisces are made of high quality marble.

This is how big this thing is, in compare to an average fairy - fairies are usually the chess players

The chess pieces are the standard traditional pieces: king, queen, two fairies, two unicorns, two towers and eight pawns.

The Battle

As the time went on, moles came up with new ways to challenge the enemies. In addition to chess, they challenge enemies to dance contest and also a final boss battle. All of these take place at the chess board, which also serves as a dance floor when all of the chess pieces are moved away.
