Her compendium and analysis of Kaphya folklore is met with glowing praise, although she published under a male pseudonym.
It was in the latter years of her study that Sova began to achieve attention. Her first work was an in-depth study of Kaphyan folklore, a subject largely ignored within the empire. She published under a male pseudonym, and her book ignited newfound interest in the oft-overlooked people at the edge of the empire.
Her further papers were met with similar praise. She compiled the first written versions of most Kivan oral stories, and conducted extensive research into the historical background of The Epic of Dragons. She was one of the first non-Dàni people to suggest that the story had some historical basis. By the time she graduated, "Romak Patist", the male name academics knew her has, was considered the seminal authority on folklore.
