A Growing Group
Arnsley Dorian mentioned that, with the slow growing number of members of the group, it would be wise to consider a way to maintain group cohesion on the move. The party were thinking of what to do and postponed the decision until morning.
For Henrietta’s EyesThe Shade returned. It was agitated by Henri telling Clovis about it. In hopes of proving that they both have a mutual goal, the Shade revealed that a Darklord’s promise was left unfulfilled by It. So, as the party has lit the beacon, It may gift the Darklord the greatest gift: the ability to roam domains.
Afterward, the Shade was questioned further about Abigail, how it knew of two variations: one who fell to their death and the other who was murdered by an axe.
In the morning, the party officially decided to have a caravan setup similar to the Vistani. They sent the Forester and Ezmerelda northward to Salvecar to obtain a caravan and a Bag of Holding if possible. The rest would journey southeast to find this hideout.
The Trip to the Hideout
A Faltering Deal
The party found the remains of a battlefield. Abbott initially shooed off some of the roden scavengers but changed his mind into bribing them to work for him instead. First he had them tell about what Pack Snorm knows of this immediate incident. The roden explained that they knew nothing as a pack unaffiliated with the Cult of Maledict. They only knew that they heard gunshots and fighting in the distance and waited for it to die down before scavenging remains.
Abbott then bribed the pack to go forward and scout where the rumored hideout was. The roden eagerly went forward. They eventually came back and reported that they found something with a fair bit of Maledians just outside of it.
Karnell off in the Distance
While sneaking around, they saw Karnell off in the distance slamming a wyrmblood into the ground. The party snuck up a hillside but something had Karnell look toward where Henri last was seen. He headed over there to find nothing. One of his Shattered called him aside and to look elsewhere.
The Hellish Hideout
Arnsley managed to translate for them that they were arguing about how terrible the Bloodtide pact has been going. They were told by their by their leader that outsider visitors were to be expected but the Bloodtide were not envisioned. This left the group on shaky grounds.
Arnsley inferred that a vician mystic must be the only rational theory that there is to anticipating the group’s arrival. From there, the party had been thinking of ways to approach the Cultists…
