General Summary

Yohgrï Cleric

Wedding Day

Our party hears bells ring as the people of Veinrock scatter to make preparations so that the Herald's special moment is perfect. They then begin to see the extent that people are willing to go are strange yet drastic. A zombie spilling apples and a ghoul that meticously counts to ensure he has all of them before running off. A nothic ensuring that the party rehearses their placement for when portraits begin.

The wedding would be held within a church not too far away from Kellistra's special tower.

Plotting and Scheming

Throughout most of the day, the party concocted various plans to crash and ruin the wedding. They thought about framing the Despoilers on mishaps for ruining Kellistra's special day. There was a question of causing havoc during the event to have the factions accuse the other, and it was even considered to have Abbott pose as Tenerian to take his place and toy with Kellistra about the goings on with the Despoilers.

Tenerian's Reluctance

Within the third floor of Kellistra's grand tower, Clovis found Tenerian and convinced the irritable elf to aid in their shenanigans to undermine this silly wedding. What the party instead decided is that, with Tenerian being at Kellistra's side, it would mean they have someone who can be a pivotal insider and saboteur of Veinrock's establishment.

The wedding is on!

Yohgrï's Village

Tenerian mentioned that there is a swampy village to the southeast. It was destroyed after the Ruinous Pact was rising to power. They focused on the city's resistance first, as fighting in the swamp took forever to deal with. Regardless, Yohgrï and the rest headed their way over there, taking in the horrendous destruction of the area. Dead, rotten bodies half-buried in the mud, old huts that are hollowed and shambling slowly, but they weren't alone...

With Setesk's guidance, he guided them to the chieftan's hut where there lied a peculiar rune. To Setesk, the chieftan put a trap on the Despoilers as the encroached. It showed them the cost of listening to their Herald and becoming Despoilers:

  • Leuklen saw how he killed his master to reach closer to the chaotic and churning powers... but is it truly him in control?
  • Mirmeia, always starving and poor, killed her prosperous trusting and loving friends to ascend into status, now more alone than ever before.
  • Rasmus, scared of his own mortality, needs blood to stay alive and he refuses to consider the cost, especially knowing that someone dear to him is involved.
  • Setesk reassured yohgrï that the chieftan knew defeat was certain but he laid the foundation to more easily bring down these cravens by going at what is important to them.

    The Crone

The fog became roughly familiar to when this mess initially began. Even a few of the trees seemed... different... Either way, there was a distant figure. The Crone.

She explained to the party that she was out exploring strange new land and gathering supplies. She told them that she had also been hearing whispers, that a pact would finally be fulfilled for a dark lord on a dark throne who has been patiently waiting.

With that resolved, the party returns to Veinrock, awaiting the wedding that is to come.
