The United Gith Diarchy is known as Digithy to the commonfolk. The nation is made of two monarchies that have become inextricably interwoven through alliances and political marriages throughout the centuries.
The dukedoms that currently swear fealty to the Gith Diarchy are Interemin, Ionen, Kworn, Lochlund, Reis, and Talamh Ard.
As a Diarchy, it has two capitals: Ionen and Reis. The Diarchy was originally an alliance between these two regions. The zyoulde of Ionen struggled to stave off raids from the northern ardenzhin, welaird, and sjorer. Not gifted martially, they offered to pay tributes of magic and grains to the yuergan of Reis if they would protect their borders. The two cultures are now considered long-time allies, and the Diarchy's borders have expanded significantly.
